Now is the time to start thinking of gifts for your loved ones for the holidays.
While I am a big proponent of making things rather than buying them (creator at heart) I thought I would compile a list of my fave items that you can gift someone for this special time of year.
And because giving is just as exciting as receiving, I’m adding 5 items that are on my wish list this year to inspire you even more ❤
What to Give
Peppermint Halo from Saje Wellness – $26.95
This essential oil blend is a life saver for all things headaches & pains. I get frequent headaches and putting this on my neck or forehead/temples instantly makes it go away. It smells soo good, like you’ve just stepped out of a minty yoga dream. It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but the 10 ml bottle has lasted me almost a full year! Perfect size for travel, too (a must on airplanes)
Mermaid Musings: stories of sea, sex, spirituality – $15
If you have a poetry aficionado in your circle of loved ones who loves all things the sea, universe, female empowerment, and what it means to be an artist then this book is for YOU written by your favorite merm, me 🙂 I like to think that it will add some needed magic into your life and also cause you to think deeper about the world around us. Let me know if you buy it and what you think of it! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Hu Chocolate – $5.49 from Thrive Market
This is LITERALLY the best chocolate on the planet. And it also happens to be the healthiest. Vegan, Paleo, Dairy-free, and all delicious. Hu has a store in NYC, but if you can’t get there, then you’re in luck because Thrive Market (and amazon) offer Hu chocolate online. Thrive has the best price out there, though so I recommend going with them since it can be on the pricier side. My favorite flavor is the Hazelnut butter.
The Artist’s Way book – $11.55
The perfect gift for the budding or aged creative in your life. Reading this book and following the 12 week course (currently on week 9!) has seriously changed my life and the way I view my creativity. If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve been doing weekly updates on the blog for my journey of the course which you can read about here. I love that the book is so inexpensive (you can probably find it used for even cheaper) but offers SO MUCH in terms of value. Buy it. Do it. Read it now.
The Moon Deck – $60
Although on the more expensive side, this is the perfect & most magical gift for that spiritual someone in your circle. I was gifted this moon deck a few years ago by one of my sisters and I can testify that they are pure MAGIC. They work like tarot cards and have offered me so much guidance in my life. I’ve done readings on friends too and the cards have always been so accurate and exactly what that person needed at the time. The artwork is absolutely GORGEOUS and it comes in this perfect little wooden box for safe keeping. Hands down, one of my fave gifts I’ve ever received.
What to Receive
Saje Natural Wellness Pharmacy Kit – $59.95
To upgrade from just the singular peppermint halo, I’ve been wanting this travel-friendly pharmacy kit for awhile, but have been holding off because of the expensive price tag. It comes with 5 different essential oil blend rollers and since the peppermint halo has worked so well for me, I’d love to try the other blends like Stress Release and Pain Release. This would be the perfect kit to bring with me on the go and lean in to those holistic methods of healing.
Restore Pressure Point Massager – $14.98
I am all about that massage ball life to do at-home releasing of tired and sore muscles. I have my massage ball that I use religiously, but want something that will break up myofascial tissue for my tight forearm muscles. Between writing by hand and typing all day at a desk, my forearms get soo tight and I would love something easy to use like this to break it up. It would also be helpful to use on quads too, which also build up tissue! I love that you can control the pressure and it’s so portable.
I actually just bought this set on Amazon (each sold separately) as an early holiday present for myself and I’m so excited for it to arrive so I can start painting! I’ve had the desire to just grab colors and create and let the paint tell me where it wants to go. I am in no way a visual artist but am excited to practice my creativity and artistry in a medium that I normally wouldn’t. This is the perfect gift for either an actual painter, or someone who is just getting started so they will have everything they need.
Guitar Lessons – Variable
As you may remember from my weekly artist way posts, I recently bought myself a guitar but have no idea how to play! I’ve been doing a few free videos on YouTube, but I feel like in order to actually learn how to play and have the discipline to keep myself accountable by practicing, I need actual lessons to hold myself to it (plus it’s hard learning by yourself). I would LOVE if someone gifted me lessons. Take this idea for someone in your life. Is there a skill someone has been dying to learn? Ballroom dancing, piano lessons, yoga classes, whatever it is, check out whatever’s going on in their local area and give them the gift of learning.
Mermaid Latte – $19.95
Okay, I have been wanting this latte mix for like a YEAR now because how absolutely perfect is it for any mermaid out there? The only problem is, it’s only sold in Australia and shipping is just as expensive as the product itself which I have a hard time justifying for myself, which is why I would love it as a gift 😉 It looks super delicious, healthy, full of superfoods & nutrients, and dang, that blue color does things for my soul.
Comment below with some of your favorite items to give/receive during this time of year! And always remember: ask, and you shall receive.
